CRYSTAL DOME DRILLERS GET BIG GAS WELL
A significant gas well discovery occurred at the Crystal Dome site, located between Weiser and Payette. The flow was struck at a depth of 1865 feet, yielding an estimated five million cubic feet of gas daily, with potential for further development up to 35 million cubic feet per day.
George Petrashek, vice president of the Crystal Dome Oil Company, expressed optimism about the discovery, stating, “We have a well—a real well and are happy.” He confirmed reports of the well gassing and noted that it was throwing about five million cubic feet at midnight and still “going strong.”
