Weiser Store Sale Revealed By Hamilton
WEISERClark Hamilton announced Thursday, exactly a month after his defeat as the Democratic candidate for governor, that he has sold his general store and is liquidating the merchandise. The former state senator stated that the store was sold to Parsons Packing and Supply Company.
Glen Parsons, the owner and manager of Parsons Packing and Supply Company, mentioned that the building would be repurposed to store onions. Hamilton cited several reasons for closing the store, the primary one being the oversaturation of stores in Weiser. He confirmed that he would continue to reside in Weiser but had not yet decided which of several job offers to accept.
Hamilton’s store is the second business in Weiser to close recently. Reed Heilson, the manager of the Weiser Montgomery Ward store, announced that it would shut down on Christmas Eve, along with 13 other Montgomery Ward stores across the country.
