WEISER — Omar Wirt Campbell, 59, a lifetime resident of Weiser, died at Council Monday as the result of a farm accident.
Mr. Campbell was born March 9, 1905, in Weiser, the son of James W. and Lena Campbell. He grew up in the Weiser area and attended the Intermountain Institute.
On Aug. 31, 1931, he was married to Grace E. Wumack at Vale, Ore. The couple have lived in Weiser continually, with the exception of World War II when Mr. Campbell was employed in the shipyards at Portland, Ore.
He has been an employee of the Steck Implement Co. of Weiser for many years.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry J. and Norman, both of Orofino, and James A. of Weiser; his mother, Mrs. Lena Campbell of Weiser; two brothers, Glenn Campbell of Weiser and James Campbell of Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Bedord of Roseville, Calif., and Mrs. Walter Fleming of Portland; and four grandchildren.
