WEISER — Mrs. Pearl M. Jackson, 70, a resident of Weiser and Washington County since 1914, died Thursday in a Weiser hospital.
Born Sept. 12, 1897, at Heppner, Ore., she grew up there and was married to Delbert H. Jackson on April 23, 1918, at Weiser. After their marriage, the couple lived at Weiser until 1928, when they moved to Cambridge, where they lived until 1938. That year they returned to Weiser and farmed in the Crystal area, except for the period from 1940 to 1943, when they lived at Parma, where Mr. Jackson worked for the Bureau of Reclamation. In 1961, they retired from farming and moved into Weiser. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Christian Church, Fidelity Rebekah Lodge No. 7, Unity Grange, Veterans of World War I Auxiliary, and the Ladies Garden Club.
Surviving are her husband, Delbert, Weiser; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Mendelhoff of American Falls; three sons, Charles Jackson of Weiser, Frank Jackson of Seattle, and 2nd Lt. Richard Jackson, with the U.S. Army at Nurnberg, Germany; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Queen of Pendleton and Mrs. Nell Jackson of Stockton, Calif.; a brother, George Thompson of Phoenix, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Helen Bartenhagen, died Aug. 17, 1952.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Northam-Jones Chapel by the Rev. Joseph Wagnon. Interment will be at Hillcrest with services by Fidelity Rebekah Lodge No. 7.
