Rosalie (Judd) Nelson
Rosalie Inga Nelson, 84, formerly of Weiser and Council, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Boise, Idaho.
Rosalie was born March 6, 1931 in Payette, Idaho, the daughter of Ernest Judd and Pearl Judd. She was raised in the Weiser area and graduated from Weiser High School in 1950.
She married John Naslund. John and Rosalie lived in Weiser and Julesburg, Colorado. They had a son, John. She was also married to Jack Kennedy.
Rosalie met James R. Nelson and they were married for 30 years. Jim and Rosalie had a son, Greg. Together, they raised eight children and resided in Council and Nampa.
Rosalie enjoyed being a member Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Early in life, she worked at Prince Jewelry in Weiser. Later she worked at various grocery stores, including Albertsons in Nampa, Idaho. She worked for a Council newspaper and later, volunteered at the Council visitor center.
Family was everything to her. She was always there to help through both the difficult and the good times in our lives.
She is survived by sons: John (Mary) and Gregory; stepchildren: James Nelson, Carmen Jacobsen (Jake) and Jeffery Nelson; brother, Ernest Judd; sisters: Carol Ortega, Bonnie McMullen, Glenda Solders, Virginia Richardson and Karen Hardcastle; as well as many nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; stepdaughters: Mary Rose Marsh, Anita Nelson and Juanita Ritter; her parents; brother, Harold; and sisters: Hazel and Marilyn.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 3rd at 2 PM at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, 840 6th Ave. S, in Payette, Idaho.
Services under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.
